Last summer I went camping and hiking in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in Washington, near Mount St. Helens - the most incredible forest I have ever seen! The mountain is really fascinating and beautiful in a strange way - and life has definitely come back since the volcanic eruption in 1980.

I decided to capture the view from Spirit Lake on my first Northwest Mountain card. This is also my first ever wood block print, and my first time doing 2 blocks on one print! Lots of firsts here, and I really enjoyed making them!
